Support Us
Moving on is a charity, number 1111589. All donations received by us are used to improve the lives of young people who have experienced homelessness.
Make a Donation
Each year we need to fundraise at least £90,000 to maintain our support service.
Without the generosity of local people, we wouldn’t be able to provide support to young homeless people.
As a result, they are unlikely to address the challenges that caused homelessness and are likely to end up back into the homelessness system. Each year we provide support to around 125 young people. That equates to around £60 per month per person that we need to find just to provide the support to keep them off the streets.
Can you afford a one-off or regular payment to support our work?
If so, please click here: https://www.justgiving.com/movingondurham
We know times have been incredibly tough lately, but we rely on the continued support of local people to maintain a good service.

Volunteer
We are looking for:
Food donations volunteer
This individual will spend around one day per week collecting and processing donations into food bags for homeless young people. If you’re interested in this role, please contact info@movingondurham.org.uk
Informal mentors/befrienders
Do you have the interest and life-skills to support a young person experiencing homelessness? Many of our young people are living independently for the first time, following a breakdown in familial or care setting relationships. They are often shocked and traumatised by their experience and would continue to benefit from the support of a sympathetic listening ear. If you think you have the right qualities and abilities for this role, then please contact info@movingondurham.org.uk
