In September 2018, Moving On Durham had a grant application worth £41,223 approved by the Virgin Money Foundation.
Moving On Durham, as well as five other regional charities, will benefit from the Virgin Money Foundation’s North East Fund, totalling £249,746. Those that have been awarded the grants, alongside Moving On Durham, are: Nacro, Future Regeneration of Grangetown, Action Foundation, Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project, and the North East Autism Society.
After having the grant successfully accepted, Chief Executive Peter Richards had this to say, ‘we are absolutely delighted to be supported by the Virgin Money Foundation. The grant awarded will allow us to grow our Social Lettings Agency, Moving On Lettings, to the point of independent financial sustainability, ensuring that going forward we have a good supply of well-maintained properties for the homeless and disadvantaged young people in County Durham. This is a really fantastic opportunity to help up grow this new and needed service for the community’.
“Since launching in 2015, the Virgin Money Foundation has awarded over £6.5m in grants”
