If you know a young person Durham who is at risk of homelessness, contact Moving On

You can support a young person by helping them to communicate their situation with either us or a local council.

Help them with any appointments, phone calls or forms they need to complete and - if you can - advocate on their behalf. If you have a young person staying with you, you are already offering them a lifeline and the next step is important.

A plan to move out is important. Councils can offer accommodation to over-18s who are eligible and this will be offered in priority order.

Moving On Durham works with young people in County Durham who are considered at risk of homelessness.

Through our Information, Advice and Guidance services (IAG), we provide face-to-face, telephone and email support to help them understand their options and make informed decisions about their housing situation.
